MEET OUR 2020 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS!

Last month our TCSI board wrapped up this cycle of our 2020 “Where Pop Culture and Cyber Security Meet” Scholarship. This scholarship awards an undergraduate student who demonstrates a current or growing interest in Cybersecurity, and is majoring in an area that has potential to impact the field, with $1000 to use toward their college educational needs. 

In this third year offering the scholarship, we received a record number of applicants from students across the country, with diverse educational backgrounds, at various levels in their college studies.  With all of the outstanding applications we received, determining who would be our winner this year was a difficult task. However, after days of deliberation, our Board of Directors selected Mr. Daniel Jimenez as our 2020 “Where Pop Culture and Cyber Security Meet” Scholarship winner. Daniel is a Senior Computer Science major at Florida International University (FIU) who stood out from the crowd through his strong writing skills, past experiences, and passion for the field of technology.

Fortunately, the story does not end there! In fact, this year, recognizing the impact of COVID-19 and having a desire to give back even more, our Board decided to award an additional $500 Scholarship to another exceptional applicant who truly impressed us with her drive and her stellar accomplishments in just one year of college! The winner of our second 2020 scholarship is Ms. Dallyn Reden, a Sophomore at Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Cybersecurity.
