TCSI TEAM GIVES TALK TO YOUNG GIRLS ABOUT CYBERSECURITY & STEM

In April, Samantha, Executive Director, and Jennifer, Board member, from TCSI collaborated with Glow with Purpose to speak with young girls (ages 9-14) about the field of cybersecurity. Glow with Purpose is a nonprofit girls enrichment and mentoring program. Their current theme focuses on careers and opportunities in different STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) fields. 

TCSI’s talk, entitled “Cybersecurity is Awesome!”, emphasized how cybersecurity is relevant to everyone, no matter the age. Samantha and Jennifer shared ways to get into the field from a young age through hobbies and classes, and spent time engaging the girls with an activity focused on creating strong passwords. We had such a great time speaking with the girls and hope to further partner with Glow with Purpose in the future!
